Broad expertise in Directory Services and Identity Management has allowed GCA to successfully deploy Sun Java System Identity Synchronization for Windows for multiple customers. Prior engagements range in size from a few thousand user entries to hundreds of thousands of user entries. GCA has used Sun Identity Synchronization for Windows to link existing users in Microsoft Active Directory to existing users in Sun Java Systems Directory Server as well as fully populating an empty Sun Java System Directory Server with user accounts from Microsoft Active Directory. |
Standard Sun Identity Synchronization Engagement
Day 1) Data gathering and Analysis
On the first day, we examine your current environment including hardware, software, and data. We analyze gathered data to perform attribute mappings and build a deployment plan specific to your needs.
Day 2) Installation and Configuration
On day two, we work off our deployment plan to install and configure the necessary components. We then kick off the synchronization process to create and/or link existing user entries.
Day 3) Post Installation Analysis, Testing, and Monitoring
On day three, we test the deployment using various use cases. We analyze log files and monitor system usage to ensure proper operation.
Day 4) Directory Server Tuning and System Monitoring
On day four, we use log file and system analysis to perform optimal tuning of your Sun Java System Directory Server. After tuning we again test the system using various use cases to ensure proper operation.
Day 5) System Monitoring, Knowledge Transfer, and Documentation Delivery
On day five, we continue to monitor the system to ensure proper operation. We perform a knowledge transfer of the product and it’s configuration with your technical staff. We wrap up the project documentation and turn that over for project completion and sign-off.
