What is Oracle ESSO?
The Enterprise Single Sign-On Suite is comprised of the following components:

• Logon Manager
  Eliminates the need to maintain a list of user names and passwords by automating the login process to secure applications after a user has successfully authenticated themselves against the chosen method.


• Provisioning Gateway
  Allows administrators to manipulate users� login credentials from a centralized console by extending the functionality of the Logon Manager.


• Self-Service Password Reset
  Prevent unwanted help-desk calls regarding forgotten passwords by allowing users to answer a series of personal security questions to change their own Active Directory user account passwords.


• Reporting
  Logs all ESSO utilization in a user-friendly manner, making it readily available for audits.


• Universal Access Manager
  Using strong authentication, such as a card-reader or a biometric device, UAM replaces the traditional password-based authentication for Active Directory and Windows user login.


• ESSO Anywhere
  Provides end-users with the ability to download a pre-configured ESSO package, so that they never run into an instance where they cannot log into an application due to the absence of Logon Manager.
