ForgeRock's Identity and Security Solutions
ForgeRock is a company dedicated to the support and creation of open source identity management products. ForgeRock leads the market with its open source authentication, authorization and entitlement product, OpenAM. OpenAM is formerly known as Sun Microsystems' OpenSSO product.
Action Identity is a trusted provider of OpenSSO with a reputation for timely assistance and customer satisfaction. Our engineers have spent extensive time with all versions of SSO making our team more than qualified to meet all of your needs. Action Identity can supply you with any one of Oracle OpenSSO STS, Sun OpenSSO Enterprise, or Forge Rock Open AM software systems.
In addition to the OpenAM's transparent single sign-on (SSO) as a security component in a network infrastructure product, ForgeRock also has Open IDM and OpenDJ. OpenDJ is a new LDAPv3 compliant directory service that was developed for the Java platform.
ForgeRock continues to be the pioneer and the visionary leader behind moving identity management towards open source. Action Identity is proud to be a key strategic partner with ForgeRock for integration, services, and training.
On May 31, 2011 ForgeRock released OpenIDM 2.0 Milestone 1. This relative newcomer to Identity Management is being developed in the open source space, and offers a highly flexible, developer friendly, solution to business process handling and compliance. Currently the Roadmap for OpenIDM lays out their plans to have quarterly releases through quarter four of 2012. The installation of OpenIDM is incredibly easy and intuitive. Action Identity spent little effort to get the system to the point that our team could de/provision a user with their REST interface. When a user is provisioned, it is stored in an OrientDB database, so it was relatively simple using a few NoSQL statements to ensure the REST calls had performed the task they were intended to.
Since it is a hassle to manually provision each test user, we decided to set up a CSV connector to try and bulk import into the system. While their system took a bit or research and poking around to get working, ultimately their use of JSON for reconciliation, synchronization, and mapping made the process more or less easy to set up than other IDM products available.Learn more about:
