The Novell Identity Manager 4 Advanced Edition was designed for larger enterprises looking for a more sophisticated approach to managing their user identities. The Advanced Edition includes a robust roles management engine that allows for advanced workflow capabilities. We have seen great success with our clients that look to take their ID management to the next level. Although this is the Advanced Edition, it is still just as easy to deploy and manage as its counterpart, the Novell IDM Standard Edition.
- Automated Provisioning
- Cloud-ready for SaaS applications
- Physical, virtual and cloud security management
The Novell IDM Advanced Edition also includes a full API set (REST and SOAP included!- read my blog on REST vs. SOAP here) so you can connect to many of your popular applications like SAP, Oracle Financials, SalesForce, Sharepoint, etc.
The bottom line is that Novell Identity Manager Advanced Edition makes it extremely easy to manage. There are drag-and-drop workflow integrators, role mapping GUIS, password self-service built it and even some data cleansing tools. This is the most complete IDM product I’ve seen. Since I work for a consulting company and have installed this before, I can say that time to deploy this product is significantly less than its competition. Sure, this reduces the IDM consulting time my company sees..but at the end of the day, the customer can do more (heck, even connect an SSO or SIEM solution to the IDM) as part of an overall solution.
